INNERACT PRODUCTIONS: Quality Theatre by Artists of Color is a vibrant, 9 year old, not-for-profit production company committed to the highest standard of excellence for theater for artists of color. Reflective of our name, INNERACT is committed to building artistically strong projects that allow artists a certain freedom to create, without the absolute constraints of commercial demands. The works they create accurately reflect our culture and challenge the limited roles afforded black actors, playwrights, and designers in the professional theatre industry.

It is a part of our continuous mission to produce quality works for artists of color, and to provide it within the central theater district of New York City wherein the work of these artists can exist as part of the American theatrical experience.

Of equal importance to us, is the continuing professional development of actors of color. To this regard the company operates as a repertory, and provides ongoing training for our artists.
